New Year's Eve: an hour before it gets loud

On 31 December we play into the evening. If you are spending the turn of the year with the same people anyway, make a 6 or 7 pm slot out of it: 60 minutes of play, and you are still where you want to be at midnight. From the old town location it is a five-minute walk into the city centre and a few minutes to the S-Bahn and U3/U6 — so the rest of the evening does not happen on the outskirts.

The remarkable thing about the New Year's Eve slot is that it works without anyone having to organise it. One booking, seven places, no buffet, no clearing up.

Between the years: the whole day is yours

From 27 to 30 December and in the first week of January you can play with us from morning until late evening. The afternoons and New Year's Eve go first, so book those early. If you prefer it quieter, take a slot in the morning.

Bogenhausen opens at 10 am, the old town at 11 am, and both play late in the evening.

Which rooms suit visiting family

• The Chinese Box (Bogenhausen, 8+, level 3.5) — wheelchair accessible, no shock moments. The room where three generations can play together.
• The Witch (Bogenhausen, 8+, level 2) — fairy-tale spooky, comfortably doable in 60 minutes.
• Seven Kingdoms (Old Town, 14+, level 5) — for the group that has experience and wants to prove it.
• The Castle Cell (Bogenhausen, 14+, level 4.5) — dark setting, tricky puzzles, no jump scares.

If the group cannot agree: both locations have several rooms starting no more than 30 minutes apart. Some into Burgverlies, the others into the Schatulle — and you compare times afterwards. Up to 23 people at once in Bogenhausen, up to 17 in the old town; just ask if the group is bigger.

Opening hours over the holidays

Between the years we play our regular hours: old town Monday to Thursday and Sunday 11 am–11 pm, Friday and Saturday 11 am–midnight; Bogenhausen 10 am–9 pm, Friday and Saturday until 11 pm. Special hours apply on 24 and 25 December — they appear in the booking calendar in good time, where you always see live availability for both locations.

31 December and 1 January are bookable, with an earlier close on New Year's Eve. For a slot on the 31st, plan two to three weeks ahead.
