Why an escape room is the better team event

At bowling half the team watches, at a cookery class one person chops onions. In an escape room everyone is needed at the same time: who searches, who thinks, who keeps the threads together — it shows within minutes, without anyone assigning roles. After 60 minutes your team has shared something it will still be talking about at the next meeting.

Nobody needs experience, and nobody needs to be sporty. The rooms run in German or English — international teams play mixed, the briefing comes in both languages. And since everything happens indoors, a team event in November is as easy to plan as one in July.

Group sizes: from a team of five to the whole department

Depending on the room, 2 to 7 people play together. Larger teams spread across several rooms that start at the same time: four rooms run in parallel in Bogenhausen (up to 23 people), three in the old town (up to 17). For large events we add one place per room in Bogenhausen on request — that makes up to 27. Everyone starts together, plays separately — and compares times at the end. In our experience that's the part people talk about longest.

More of you? Then you play two rounds back to back: the second group starts 15 minutes after the first one finishes. That way we fit around 45 people into one afternoon in Bogenhausen, and whoever is waiting watches the first round come out. For even bigger companies we combine both locations on the same day.

What does a team event at the escape room cost?

The price depends on two things: how many you are and when you play — Monday to Thursday and Fridays until 3 pm are cheapest. The enquiry form works out both straight away: enter the number of people and your preferred day and the guide price appears. The binding quote arrives by email on the same working day. Game master, briefing and team photo are always included.

Team review: the 15 minutes that stick

On request the game master sits down with you for 10 to 15 minutes after the game: who communicated, who organised, how were decisions made — and what happened when it got tight? The game master watched the room for the whole hour and sees things the team itself doesn't notice.

For workshops and seminars we record the game on request; the recording is used only for the debrief and deleted afterwards. Tell us when you enquire whether you'd like the review, and we'll plan the time in.

Which location for your team?

• Old town (Tal): three rooms between Marienplatz and Isartor, right by the S-Bahn and U3/U6. Seven Kingdoms (level 5) for puzzle pros, Taphephobia for teams of two or four, Dungeon (18+) for teams that explicitly want horror. Afterwards you're at the Viktualienmarkt or in a beer hall within five minutes — on Fridays and Saturdays we play until midnight.
• Bogenhausen: four rooms from level 2 to 4.5, free parking at the door, up to 23 people at once. The Chinese Box is wheelchair accessible — important when the whole team should take part.

For companies we work around your calendar: slots outside opening hours are possible on request.

Christmas party, summer party, offsite

December is our busiest time — everything about a Christmas party at the escape room, including lead times, is on its own page. If you'd rather be outdoors in summer: the Wagon Game Show by our partner One Hour Left pits 4 to 12 people per wagon against each other in mini-games for three hours. And for sports, music and leisure clubs there's a dedicated offer.
