A school trip with brains
Escape room for school classes in Munich — a school trip with brains
In small teams the pupils experience several missions in parallel and decide for themselves which theme appeals to them. Teamwork, logical thinking and creativity are encouraged — almost incidentally, because everyone is needed right now. Whatever the weather.
- Up to 25 children and teens at once in Bogenhausen, up to 17 players in the old town
- From 8: The Witch and The Chinese Box (accessible) · from 14: Burgverlies, Todeshöhle, Seven Kingdoms
- Briefing and support from the game master — one teacher per room plays for free
- School rate during the week — enter class size and preferred day in the form and the price per pupil appears straight away

Which room for which year group?
- From age 8 (years 3 and 4): The Witch and The Chinese Box in Bogenhausen — level 2 and 3.5, search and puzzle tasks the kids solve themselves. The Schatulle is wheelchair accessible. Children-only groups: The Witch up to 7 kids, Die Schatulle up to 8, each with an adult supervisor in the room.
- From 12 accompanied, from 14 on their own: The Castle Cell (level 4.5), The Cave of Death (survival horror, level 3) and Seven Kingdoms in the old town (level 5, for puzzle pros).
- Sixth form, 16+: plus Taphephobia in the old town — a psychological thriller for teams of two or four.
The Dungeon (18+) is not suitable for school classes, even when accompanied.
What the class learns — without it feeling like a lesson
An escape room only works as a team: someone has to search, someone combine, someone keep the overview and say out loud what has been found. Those who don't coordinate lose time — pupils notice that faster than in any group work. It builds teamwork, communication, logical thinking and decision-making under time pressure. And because the class plays in several teams in parallel, even those who hold back in the classroom get involved.
Afterwards there's a class photo and the comparison of times: which team outwitted the witch fastest?
How the school trip works
Bogenhausen opens at 10 am, ideal for the morning. In the old town we start at 11 am. Neither fits the timetable? For schools, clubs and companies we also offer slots outside the regular booking hours — just ask. Arrive 15 minutes before your slot; the game master then explains the rules, and that nobody gets locked in: the door can be opened from the inside at any time.
The class splits into teams of 2 to 7, each team gets a room, everyone starts at the same time. In Bogenhausen that's up to 27 pupils at once, one teacher per room plays free, in the old town up to 17 people. Larger classes play two rounds, the second starting 15 minutes after the first ends. For children up to 11 an adult supervisor is in the room and plays along; 12- to 15-year-olds play with a parental consent form even without a supervisor in the room; in rooms rated 14+ only from 14, and 12 and 13-year-olds play there with an adult in the room. One teacher per room plays for free, others watch.
Getting there with the class
- Bogenhausen, Cosimastraße 131: tram 17 to Prinz-Eugen-Park, then three minutes on foot. By coach: free parking right in front of the building.
- Old town, Westenriederstraße 41: S-Bahn to Isartor or Marienplatz, five minutes on foot — in the heart of the old town, ideal as a stop on a class trip to Munich.
Both locations are indoors: the outing goes ahead even in the rain.
What does the escape room cost for a school class?
School classes pay a dedicated school rate, well below the regular price. It applies during the week — Monday to Thursday and Fridays until 3 pm — and depends on class size. The enquiry form works it out straight away: enter class size and preferred day and the price per pupil appears. The binding quote arrives by email on the same working day. One accompanying adult per room plays for free.
A gift waits at the end
Every mission you play comes with a small gift for your team, handed over on site — we won't say what it is. Only this much: it fits in a pocket, and once you have one, you'll want the next.
